The UCSF Department of Psychiatry is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew D. Krystal, MD, as Professor of Psychiatry and Executive Vice Chair for the Langley Porter Psychiatric Institute (LPPI), effective June 1, 2016.

Following a national search, the UCSF Department of Psychiatry and UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital are pleased to announce the appointment of Bryan H. King, MD, MBA, as Professor of Psychiatry and Vice Chair of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for UCSF Health, as well as Vice President for Child Behavioral Health Services at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, effective August 1, 2016.

Neuroscience researcher Lisa Gunaydin, PhD, has joined the Department of Psychiatry as an assistant professor in residence, along with a joint appointment at the UCSF Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases. Her academic appointment begins today, May 16.

Last month, UCSF Professor of Psychiatry Peter M. Ferren, MD, MPH, made his eighth visit since 2007 to Vellore, India, where he serves as a volunteer clinical faculty member in the Christian Medical College (CMC)'s Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Unit.
