Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison Service

The UCSF Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison Service provides psychiatric and psychological consultation services to the emergency department at Parnassus and adult inpatients at Parnassus, Mission Bay, and Mount Zion. We provide assessment and treatment for changes in emotions, thinking, memory, behavior, and perception in patients on the medical, surgical, neurology, OB, and ICU wards. We also help medical and nursing staff work effectively with patients experiencing mental health crises in the general hospital setting. We provide in-person consultation at Parnassus, telemedicine consultation to Mission Bay and Mount Zion, and also provide inpatient e-consults where appropriate to all sites.

We are available 24/7, 365 days per year.* Physicians can page (415) 443-1743 to request a consult.
