Following a nationwide search, the UCSF Department of Psychiatry is pleased to announce the appointment of Marlene J. Guzman, MBA, MEd, MA, as its new Associate Chair for Administration and Finance, effective June 27, 2016.

Neuroscience researcher Lisa Gunaydin, PhD, has joined the Department of Psychiatry as an assistant professor in residence, along with a joint appointment at the UCSF Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases. Her academic appointment begins today, May 16.

Last month, UCSF Professor of Psychiatry Peter M. Ferren, MD, MPH, made his eighth visit since 2007 to Vellore, India, where he serves as a volunteer clinical faculty member in the Christian Medical College (CMC)'s Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Unit.
