"Wave," a piece by Amy Ahlstrom, will be among the nearly 200 works of art available for bidding at this year's Art for AIDS event.

On Friday, September 21, the UCSF Alliance Health Project (AHP) will hold the 22nd edition of its celebrated art auction fundraiser, Art for AIDS, at the City View in San Francisco.

Join the staff and volunteers for this celebrated charity art auction where every winning bid contributes to LGBTQ and HIV-affected community members getting care at AHP. And, as you’ll discover on artforaids.org, you’ll have a chance to buy some amazing art and gift packages—and learn why Art for AIDS is celebrated not only for the magnitude of its cause but also for the excellence of its carefully curated artworks.

Enjoy an evening of community, generosity, and compassion all converging to create a thrilling event raising funds for something that really changes lives—AHP, a safe place for marginalized members of the community to receive care. As an LGBTQ-affirming mental health organization, the Alliance Health Project stands out in its dedication to outstanding care. Staffed with a dedicated team of mental health and behavioral health professionals, AHP relies on the generosity of community members at Art for AIDS to help clients heal.

This year, live and silent auctions will include 195 artworks—painting, photography, mixed media, and sculpture—by artists such as Hung Liu, Catherine Mackey, Carolyn Meyer, Gustavo Ramos Rivera, Fernando Reyes, Heather Wilcoxon, and Tim Yankosky.

AHP is a community mental health clinic that has been on the front lines of caring for clients with and at risk for HIV, substance use, and mental illness since the early days of the HIV epidemic. AHP services are free or low cost and clients who are uninsured and underinsured receive HIV testing, support groups, mental health care, and counseling. AHP’s values and goals reflect its mission: to support the mental health and wellness of the LGBTQ and HIV-affected communities in constructing healthy and meaningful lives.
