Anderson named 2014-15 Krevans Award recipient

First-year psychiatry resident Brian Anderson, MD, has been selected as the recipient of the 2014-15 PGY-1 Krevans Award for Patient Care by his peers and faculty members at San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH) for his outstanding clinical skills and dedication to serving vulnerable and underserved patients. He will receive his award at the annual SFGH Medical Staff Dinner on June 4.

The Krevans Award, named fifth UCSF chancellor Julius R. Krevans, MD, is given annually to one intern in each specialty at SFGH in recognition of "excellence in patient care, as exemplified by clinical competence, professional conduct, compassion for patients and outstanding interaction with all levels of staff, including peers." Other recent recipients from Psychiatry include Ellen Bradley, MD (2013-14); Monique James, MD (2011-12); and Dean Sasaki, MD (2012-13).
