Andrew Booty, MD

Andrew Booty, MD, has accepted the position of Director of Langley Porter Hospital & Clinics (LPPH&C) Intensive Services, effective September 5. Following his psychiatry residency at Columbia University, Booty joined LPPH&C in 2008 as an inpatient attending psychiatrist. He has also served an active role in medical student education and administration at UCSF, working as a confidential career advisor for the School of Medicine, an advisor for Pre-Health Dreamers, and as a member of the School of Medicine’s Senior Admissions Committee.

Booty succeeds Stephen E. Hall, MD, who recently left the department to open a private practice and serve as a consultant and geriatric inpatient clinician at the Jewish Home of San Francisco. Hall will continue to teach at UCSF as a volunteer faculty member in the Foundations of Patient Care course for medical students.
