Hoeft to speak on the neuroscience of learning differences

Fumiko Hoeft, MD, PhD, will speak to Bay Area parents and other adults about using an integrated approach in understanding learning differences during a special seminar on Thursday, February 26 at the Bay Area Discovery Museum. In addition to speaking about the latest advances in the neuroscience of learning and learning differences, she will also discuss how learning and socio-emotional skills are tightly integrated, but the latter has often been ignored in children with learning differences and children in special education.

Hoeft’s presentation is part of the Creativity Talks series for parents, grandparents and educators on important early childhood topics sponsored by the Bay Area Discovery Museum, the Center for Childhood Creativity and ScholarShare Speaks. The event is free, but advance registration is required.
