Director, UCSF Substance Use Disorders Clinic/Translational Scientist (UCSF Health)

The Departments of Neurology and Psychiatry are seeking an outstanding clinician-scientist in the field of Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine to lead UCSF's new clinic in this area and integrate the program with our robust clinical and laboratory-based research in substance use disorders. The selected candidate will be proposed for appointment to the Associate or full Professor rank of the Clinical X or In Residence faculty series in one of these departments with a joint appointment in the other. Rank and series will be commensurate with experience and level of accomplishment.

Qualified applicants must possess a medical degree and Board Certification in Neurology or Psychiatry. Preferred qualifications include ABMS Board Certification in Addiction Psychiatry (ABPN) or Addiction Medicine (ABPM), evidence of an outstanding record of clinical and research productivity, and experience working in an urban healthcare environment. Experience working with underserved patient populations is strongly desirable.
