Intramural Funding Opportunities for Postdoctoral Fellows
1. UCSF MERC/CADC Pilot Project Program URM post doctoral fellows are eligible to apply for pilot studies focused on aging issues in diverse communities. Participants can apply for up to $15,000.00 for three years to fund pilot research.
2. Sandler Postdoctoral Research Fellowship The Sandler Postdoctoral Research Fellowships provide one year of funding (up to $15,000) to postdoctoral fellows pursuing biomedical research not directly related to their mentors program of research. It requires the identification of an additional collaborator or mentor.
3. Dean’s Postdoctoral Prize Lecture The Dean’s Postdoctoral Prize Lecture is a yearly, $1,000.00 cash prize awarded to UCSF postdoctoral fellows in recognition of independent research efforts.
4. UC President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program The University of California President's Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, established in 1984, awards approximately 15-20 postdoctoral fellowships faculty sponsored research. Awardees receive up to $55,000, in Humanities and Social Sciences, and up to $65,000 in Math, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and Engineering. The purpose of the award is to support outstanding women and minority Ph.D. recipients to pursue academic careers at the University of California. The current program offers postdoctoral research fellowships, faculty mentoring, and eligibility for a hiring incentive to qualified scholars in all fields whose research, teaching, and service will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity at the University of California.
