Kalapatapu advances to candidacy in Epidemiology and Translational Science PhD Program

UC San Francisco assistant adjunct professor of psychiatry Raj K. Kalapatapu, MD, has been advanced to candidacy in the UCSF Epidemiology and Translational Science PhD Program. His dissertation will focus on the association of substance use and neurocognition across diverse study designs.

Kalapatapu was the first physician and first psychiatrist accepted into the doctoral program in 2014. He is the principal investigator of the Cognition and Addiction Laboratory (CAL) at UCSF and is currently funded through a K23 Career Development Award by the National Institute on Drug Abuse.
