RTP Program Director Erick Hung, MD, was named the Director of Curricular Affairs for the School of Medicine-wide UCSF Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program, effective November 1. In his new additional role, Hung will provide leadership for curricular excellence and innovation in GME and for advanced learner assessment at UCSF. He will work across all ACGME specialties utilizing the framework of the common program requirements, the ACGME competencies, the UME/GME continuum and the UCSF Pathways to Discovery Program.
In a statement announcing Hung's addition to the program’s leadership group, Associate Dean for Graduate and Continuing Medical Education Robert B. Baron MD, MS, said, “This work will be vital to the successful implementation of milestones in all accredited GME programs, to the continued improvement of the UCSF Clinical Learning Environment, to our enhanced training for residents and fellows as teachers, to the innovative use of simulation and other educational technologies, and to the development of collaboration between residents and fellows and students as part of the new Bridges Curriculum.”
