Boyd, Wan awarded APA Presidential Citations

Two SFVAMC psychologists and UCSF faculty members received American Psychological Association (APA) Presidential Citations from APA President Nadine Kaslow, PhD, at the 17th Annual VA Psychology Leadership Conference in May.

Jennifer E. Boyd, PhD, CPRP, was recognized for extraordinary accomplishments in advocacy, research, innovative program development, and service delivery for individuals with serious mental illness. Her contributions in combating internalized stigma of mental illness are internationally renowned and have significantly impacted the field at a broad level.  

Samuel Wan, PhD, was recognized as an early career psychologist who expertly took over the annual VA psychology leadership conference as its Conference Chair.  He is a national leader in diversity issues, recognized with a Leadership Fellow designation of the Asian American Psychological Association and an Ethnic Minority Slate Member-At-Large for APA Division 51.
