Wednesday, March 26, 2014

Clinical faculty member Michael A. Freeman, MD, is now serving as a mentor at The Entrepreneurship Center at UCSF, a resource offered by the UCSF Office of Innovation, Technology & Alliances to develop an innovation ecosystem and commercialize UCSF inventions through startup ventures. In his work as a mentor, Freeman is helping launch companies that leverage behavioral healthcare competencies in response to opportunities created by health care reform.

Freeman is also collaborating with UC Berkeley’s Sheri Johnson, PhD, on a study of personality and mental health predictors of entrepreneurial success and failure. The study is currently seeking input from experienced and future entrepreneurs.
