Second-year psychiatry resident Chuan Mei Lee, MD, MA, was selected as a 2014-2016 American Psychiatric Association (APA) Public Psychiatry Fellow. As part of her fellowship, Lee will have the opportunity to be an active participant in selected APA components and the Institute on Psychiatric Services (IPS).

APA Public Psychiatry Fellowships are awarded annually to ten residents in psychiatry, based on recommendations from their departments and evidence of a track record of commitment to and accomplishment in public psychiatry. They are designed to provide experiences that will contribute to the professional development of residents who will play future leadership roles within the public sector psychiatry, heighten awareness of the public psychiatry activities and career opportunities and provide a community of peers with shared interest in public psychiatry.
