The Golden Gate Bridge is the number one suicide site in theworld. In this clinical case conference, the authors begin by presenting vignettes to capture the diversity of bridge suicide.They then examine the demographic characteristics of those whocommit suicide from the bridge as well as the fatal attractionof the Golden Gate Bridge. Interviews with jump survivors andpotential jumpers are presented, and the authors examine theevidence for the efficacy of suicide barriers.
