Kevin Mack, MD honored by UCSF Med Students

Tuesday, June 02, 2009

Kevin Mack, MD was bestowed one of the highest honors by the UCSF Medical Student Class of 2009 at its graduation at Davies Symphony Hall on Thursday, May 14, 2009. The class elected Kevin to lead them, as newly pronounced doctors, in taking the Oath of Louis Lasagna, a modern version of the Hippocratic Oath. Congratulations to Kevin!

Sharing the stage with Dr. Mack were neurology attending Andy Josephson,MD who was elected Commencement Speaker, and student Matt Stahl, MD who gave the Senior Address. Chancellor Mike Bishop conferred the doctor of medicine degree for the last time before his stepping down as chancellor. Gold-Headed Cane Award inductees from the graduating students were presented: Ryan O’Malley, Matthew Roosevelt and Darcy Wooten. Davies Hall replaced Masonic Hall as the venue for commencement this year; its modern facilities and light-filled, spacious lobby gave students, their families, and faculty the perfect setting for the reception which followed.
