Following training, Dr. McCarthy joined the Suicide Prevention Program at SFVAMC. She maintains a small private practice in San Francisco. She is a certified provider of Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and is interested in integrating attachment theory and research into the practice of psychotherapy.
