Biography Summary:
Dr. Haller has been a member of the UCSF Department of Psychiatry faculty since 1988. She was the assistant director of the inpatient unit until 1997 when she began the WomenCare Mental Health Program. In 2003, she became the director of the Adult Psychiatry Clinic at UCSF, and in 2006, she was named a co-director of the UCSF Center for Lesbian Health and Research. From July 2007 to June 2012, Dr. Haller was the Director of the General Adult Psychiatry Residency Training Program at UCSF. She is a past president of the Northern California Psychiatric Society and serves on numerous committees within UCSF and the Department of Psychiatry.
Clinical Expertise:
women’s mental health (including PMS/PMDD, post-partum depression, perimenopause, mood & anxiety disorders); evidence-based treatments for depression; lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues; collaborative treatment of psychiatric disorders (working closely with non-MD mental health professionals and with primary care & OB/GYN practitioners)
