Registration now open for the Special Department Retreat

All paid faculty members are invited to attend the upcoming Special Department Retreat to Guide the Strategic Plan on May 1 at the Marin Headlands Institute in Sausalito. The full-day retreat will bring together department researchers and educators to think about how we can maintain and enhance our missions as we implement the Strategic Plan. In addition to morning and afternoon breakout sessions, the retreat will feature three plenary presentations from department and campus leadership.

Space is limited, so faculty members are encouraged to RSVP as soon as possible. You can register now at psych.ucsf.edu/retreat.

Research fellows invited to a lunchtime networking and informational meeting

Psychiatry research postdoctoral fellows are invited to meet as a group with Vice Chair for Clinical and Translational Research Kristine Yaffe at a lunchtime session (12:00-1:30 p.m.) on Monday, April 20 in LP-371. The meeting will give participants an opportunity to learn more about career development and meet other research postdoctoral fellows from across the department’s numerous sites and disciplines.

To help us plan the lunch, interested research fellows should RSVP with Nancy Buenaventura at [email protected].

Help us highlight research on new department website

Increased visibility for research within the department is priority of our new website, and we need your assistance to make sure our efforts are being accurately represented online. The website’s research section - psych.ucsf.edu/research – offers listings of current research faculty, programs, fellowships, projects and publications. I invite you to explore the section and lets us know about any additions or corrections that are needed. You can send your feedback to [email protected].
