SFVAMC Associate Chief for Clinical Administration, Mental Health Service
The Department of Psychiatry at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) invites applications for the Associate Chief for Clinical Administration, Mental Health Service at San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center. This Full Professor position could begin on September 1, 2009 or thereafter.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and internship from American Psychological Association approved programs; be licensed to practice psychology in California at time of appointment; have demonstrated excellence in clinical experience and teaching ability in evidence-based behavioral treatments for psychosis, depression and pain disorders; have leadership experience in innovative approaches to development and dissemination of evidence-based behavioral treatments; demonstrated research experience in evidence-based behavioral treatments for psychosis, depression and pain disorders; demonstrated interest, commitment, and cultural competence in working with underserved and culturally diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities include evaluation and behavioral treatment of depression, psychosis and pain disorders; development of a successful independent program in clinical and translational psychiatric research; participation in teaching, supervision or support of educational programs for medical students, residents, psychology interns, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students in a variety of disciplines
